2008 Photo & Poster Contests

Catholic Order of Foresters (COF) sponsors annual national photo and poster contests for youth and adult members. For contest guidelines see below.

Entrant must meet contest age requirements and hold an individual COF insurance policy.

Entries

Only one entry may be submitted in each contest.

Identification

Print clearly on entry form and attach to back of photo or back upper left corner of poster; or attach paper with printed name, complete address, date of birth, COF court and roster numbers, and age category.

Judging

Only qualified non-COF members serve as judges, and their decisions are final. Four prizes are awarded in each age category in both contests. Winning entries appear in Catholic Forester magazine. All entries become property of Catholic Order of Foresters and will not be returned.

Photo Theme: Churches

Guidelines

• Photo must be taken by contestant during the contest year, July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008.
• Photo may either be black and white or color, no larger than 5 x 7-inches
• Polaroid™ instant photos are unacceptable.
• Printed photos taken with a digital camera are acceptable.
• Digital photo files e-mailed, embedded, or saved to a CD, DVD, or any other storage device are not acceptable.
• Do not frame, mat, or glue photo to cardboard or any other material.

Poster Theme: God's Miracles

Guidelines

• Poster must be produced by contestant alone and without adult help.
• 8 1/2 x 11-inch cardstock or poster board only. Paper of any other kind is unacceptable.
• Photos, magazine cutouts, and computer printouts are not permitted.
