Reimbursement Program FAQs
As with any new program, occasional questions crop up regarding guidelines and procedures. The following Q & A addresses recent inquiries about the Local Court Reimbursement Program.
Q: Expenses for our court's award dinner
came in more than what's left in our budget. Will we still be reimbursed
the total amount?
A: No, only up to the amount left in your court's 2007 budget. For
example: if your court's July 1, 2007 - December 31, 2007 budget is
$600:

* 2007 budget depleted. Remaining $150 expenses must be covered by court treasury.
Q: Our court is not planning any more
activities this year but there is still money in our budget. Can we
carry it over into 2008?
A: No. Money not used by December 31, 2007, will not be carried over.
Q: When will we receive our 2008 budget?
A: Courts will be notified some time in mid-January. Budget amount is
based on December 31, 2007, membership count and calculated at $2.60 per
juvenile and adult member.
Q: Can we request reimbursement for 2008
expenses before receiving our budget notification?
A: Absolutely. Your court's budget runs from January 1, 2008, through
December 31, 2008, and may be used any time within the calendar year.
Q: Are court officer salaries reimbursable?
A: Yes, if reasonable and not the largest court expense.
