Convention Business
Governed by a Constitution and Bylaws, Catholic Order of Foresters is mandated to meet in convention every four years. During this quadrennial event, delegates elect High Court officers and trustees to enact changes to the Constitution and Bylaws.National delegates are chosen from among local court delegates attending state jurisdiction conventions held in spring prior to the national meeting. They represent their respective states' membership.
48th Quadrennial Convention: Green Bay, Wisconsin
Nestled in a wooded setting, the Radisson Hotel and Convention Center offers the perfect venue for Catholic Order of Foresters’ quadrennial meeting, August 17 to 19, 2008.A Sunday Mass opens the convention, followed by afternoon business sessions, and an evening tour of Green Bay Packers’ Hall of Fame—Lambeau Field’s 25,000 square foot interactive exhibit showcasing Packers’ history.

In 1634, explorer Jean Nicolet landed near Green Bay, claiming the area for France. A trading post, established at the bay’s southernmost tip, flourished and the community prospered as railroads expanded west and processing and packing companies sprang up. In fact, Green Bay’s beloved Packers got their name when a meatpacking company helped start the team in 1919.Local Attractions
While the Packers prove the biggest tourist draw, Green Bay offers other area attractions.Botanical Garden—Stroll through fourteen themed formal gardens including rose, woodland, English Cottage, perennial, and summer. National Railroad Museum—Get your ticket punched and explore America’s rich railroad heritage. Sit in the world’s largest steam locomotive’s cab or explore General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s command train.
Heritage Hill State Park—Experience life during Wisconsin’s pioneer days. Visit an early 19th century fur-trader’s cabin, watch a blacksmith ply his trade, visit Fort Smith’s remains.
