NEW T-Shirt Design Contest: "Commemorate COF's 125th Anniversary" In conjunction with Catholic Order of Foresters' 125th anniversary celebration and 2008 convention, a T-shirt design competition replaces the annual photo contest. Besides the usual sixteen winners, two grand prize winners will have their designs appear on the official anniversary/convention T-shirt available for on-line purchase in January 2008.
  • Design an image no larger than 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" (may include words)
  • Use marker, paint, or ink only—no pencil
  • Draw on white cardstock
  • No digital or e-mail submissions accepted

Age Divisions

  • Junior - ages 6 through 9
  • Intermediate - ages 10 through 13
  • Senior - ages 14 through 17
  • Adult - ages 18 and older
    (no professional illustrators, please)
Poster Contest: "Angels"
  • Poster must be produced by contestant alone and without adult help
  • 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock or poster board only—paper of any other kind is unacceptable
  • Photos, magazine cutouts, and computer printouts are not permitted
  • No digital or e-mail submissions

Age Divisions

  • Junior - ages 6 through 9
  • Intermediate - ages 10 through 13
  • Senior - ages 14 through 21
Prizes Contest prizes awarded in both poster and T-shirt contests.

Prize categories

1st place — $100
 

2nd place —   75

3rd place — $50
 

4th place —   25

 

T-shirt Contest Grand Prize Winners

One grand prize winner in each division. Designs appear on official 125th anniversary/convention T-shirt.

 

Adult/Senior Division  — $150

Intermediate/Junior Division  — $150
 
Eligibility
  • COF member holding individual insurance or annuity policy
  • Meet category age requirement
  • Attach entry form to back of cardstock, upper left corner
  • Submit one entry per member
  • One winner per prize category

Judging

Only qualified non-COF members serve as judges, their decisions are final. Winning entries will appear in Catholic Forester magazine. All entries become the property of Catholic Order of Foresters and will not be returned.
